Dolly Dhaliwal, Co-founder

Dolly Dhaliwal is currently a Doctor of Medicine (MD) candidate at the University of Queensland. With a strong background in health science and kinesiology, Dolly completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree at York University before pursuing a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Western Ontario. Dolly’s focus was on translational ovarian cancer research, where she conducted work on the molecular and cellular mechanisms controlling integrin-mediated metastasis.

Dolly’s passion for menstrual cycle and reproductive health education led her to co-found Grow with Flow, a platform that creates content for educators, coaches and young individual about period health. As a athlete herself, she believes in embowering young individuals through knowledge about their body in sports and school. She is involved in every aspect of the organization's work and collaborates with other experts in the field to develop educational materials, creates content for the website and social media platforms, and works with educators and coaches to promote menstrual health education. Dolly is particularly proud of the impact that Grow with a Flow has had on the lives of young individuals.

When not busy with her studies and research, Dolly enjoys exploring the great outdoors and staying active through hiking, running, and dancing with friends.

 

Amanda Lucas, Co-founder

Amanda Lucas is a Doctor of Medicine (MD) candidate at the University of Queensland - Ochsner School of Medicine. She completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cell and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Music Performance at Tulane University, where she distinguished herself with a senior focus project on the role of 20th century world events and Soviet cultural policies on the work of Sergei Prokofiev. As a talented flautist, Amanda has performed both solo and in orchestras in the United States and Australia, and continues to showcase her musical prowess as a member of the Queensland Medical Orchestra.

Driven by her passion for improving healthcare and empowering individuals to take control of their own health, Amanda co-founded Grow with Flow. The organization is dedicated to providing accurate and accessible information on female health and resources that enhance well-being. With Amanda's leadership, Grow with Flow is committed to promoting health education and helping people understand their bodies.

In her leisure time, Amanda indulges in her interests including reading, cooking, and staying active through biking, hiking, and yoga.
